I was so excited to paint the ducks at MacAuthor Park a few months back. I jog past this scene often, and i just find it to be so beautiful. Sadly, I have been displeased with my first attempt at capturing it. The foreground wasn’t vibrant and the placement of the birds didn’t work. In the updated version, i removed several of the birds, included more details on the remaining ones, and layered in more color to show the dappled light. For now, i am pleased, but i cannot promise that i won’t revisit it again…and so it goes š
