More Portrait Work

I am sharing this underpainting / study because I would call it fairly sucuessful so far. I have been struggling to capture expressions in my portraits…this time I tried something that Della has suggested over and over – only use two colors to focus on the values. I really think that helped me see the planes of my face, my dimples, the shadow under my chin…lets she what happens when I add color…stay tuned 🙂
