I signed up for a membership to the Asian Art Museum yesterday. There is an exhibition about how the Impressionists were inspired by Japanese art. I thought that I may have to visit these paintings more than once, thus a membership was in order 😉
I was quite struck by the Japanese interior paintings, with such beautiful wall paper / patterns / screens in the background. This is my version, using one of my favorite scarfs as the backdrop:
